Who are we?

Evie's Talking Clothes brand was created by J. Purcell (author) and L. Saib (illustrator), both based in London, U.K. We are on the autistic spectrum ourselves.

Why did we make this series?

Evie is based on a real girl who represents many other children around the world who struggle with sensory issues and autism. Our books can help parents and teachers recognise certain traits and behaviours in their children - can lead to autism diagnoses so parents and autistic children better understand their needs and how to alter things around them (such as Evie's parents finding what clothes Evie is comfortable wearing) to reduce discomfort, stress and meltdowns.
